He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1993 and completed his residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School, followed by a fellowship at Indiana University. Dr. Stachowicz is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is affiliated with Abbott Northwestern Hospital.​
